We were inspired by the architecture in the original painting, as it was a much later time period than the story portrayed within the painting.  We chose to replace the scenery with modern architectural images.  By doing this we would be imitating the process Benvenuti had already applied.  We captured images of architecture around the Courtauld, and arranged the images into a composition in Adobe Photoshop. We imported the file into After Effects and the composition was broken down into layers.  We then decided when and how each of the background images would appear on the screen through the Transition tab.  When we were happy with our work we imported it into Final Cut Pro to add sound effects to the animation.  As well as our voice recording which we had edited in Logic Pro, to become more obscure.  We chose to have the voiceover obscured so that the audience could not understand, as this was the case when researching the background of the painting, we were unable to find out any information.  Therefore we were putting the audience in our position.
